Alanna Afrasiabi, CCC-SLP, completed her undergraduate studies at California State University Chico, where she received two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Communication Sciences and Disorders and the other in Spanish. She received her Master’s of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Prior to her masters degree, Alanna worked as an early interventionist for a pediatric clinic and received her Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license from Loma Linda University. Alanna has completed clinical externships in various settings including a skilled nursing facility, public school, and at Therapy at Play where she was able to treat a wide variety of disorders including Autism, apraxia of speech, swallowing, articulation, language, voice, pragmatics and fluency. Her experience includes evaluation and remediation of communication and swallowing disorders with both the pediatric and adult population.
Alanna is dedicated to showing compassion and kindness when working with her clients and aims to always advocate for those who are unable to advocate for themselves. She works to provide her clients with quality treatment sessions that focus on family collaboration and functional communication skills.
In her free time, Alanna enjoys baking, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and taking her dog Willow on adventures.
