Kirsten Riche graduated from UC Irvine with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She received her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University in 2010. After completing her clinical internship at a private practice pediatric clinical setting, she realized her passion for serving the pediatric population as an occupational therapist. Kirsten also has experience providing school-based intervention. Kirsten enjoys being a part of a multidisciplinary team and working closely with families in order to help achieve their child’s goals. She has helped treat the occupational therapy needs of children with various diagnoses including but not limited to the following: Autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, developmental delay, dyspraxia, and sensory processing disorders. Kirsten has been part of the Therapy at Play team since 2012. She is certified in Therapeutic Listening, Bal-A-Vis-X, and the Wilbarger Therapressure Protocol. She has specialized training in sensory integration, creating sensory diets, Handwriting Without Tears, pediatric yoga, teaching the Zones of Regulation curriculum, and feeding therapy. Kirsten enjoys traveling, reading, and cooking. She lives with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
