Yalda Yekta MS, OTR/L graduated from New York University with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Yalda has worked in various settings, such as in schools, hospitals, and private pediatric clinics. Yalda has experience working with children of all ages and various disabilities including autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, developmental delays, traumatic brain injuries, and cerebral palsy. She has been trained in Handwriting Without Tears and has experience teaching the Zones of Regulation curriculum.
She is very passionate about working with families and their children to help them achieve their goals during therapy. Yalda is able to offer therapy sessions in English or Farsi.
In her spare time, Yalda likes to spend time with her friends and family, travel, and listen to various types of music.
